Review – 4th Tea at the Tower

Our photographs tell the story of another enjoyable “Tea at the Tower” event last Sunday (9th August).

It was lovely to see our regular guests – we are very grateful for your continuing support. If it was the first time that you have joined us for a drink and cake – as it was for Karen and Liz (raising a glass in the photo above)  – welcome and we hope to see you again soon.

Most of you live locally but we were flattered and delighted to hear that one lady had travelled all the way from Sheffield to join us!

For this event we were joined by Dave Wood, the Beeston Poet (lower photos). He created a “Poets Corner” in the Tower and shared his seasonal poems with some of our visitors.

Sadly, our last “Tea at the Tower” event of the season will be on Sunday September 13th. This will coincide with the Heritage Open Day weekend [12th and 13th September : 12 noon – 4 pm] so on this occasion we will be serving our beverages and cakes from 12 noon rather than the usual 11 am.

We do hope that you will be able to join us then.
