Heritage Open Days and Tea at the Tower (5) Review

Saturday 12th + Sunday 13th September

We’ve  been blessed with warmth, sunshine and happiness for all five of our Tea at the Tower events this year. Our final one of the season coincided with the nationally celebrated Heritage Open Day, which brought many new visitors to the site as well as our regulars – “What are we going to do now until next year?” some of our cake-lovers lamented.

We’ve gone from strength to strength since the first Tea in May: we’ve enjoyed hearing what your favourites are and we’ve loved baking them. Thank you all for your support, which helps us keep this community heritage site in good shape for future generations.

Richard Upton’s guided walks through the woodland and around the site of Bramcote Hall have been a very popular feature of Heritage Open Day. Richard, who also built the model of the church as it was before the nave was demolished, is pictured here with some of Saturday’s participants.
