We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the Green Flag Community Award for a further year.  The judges described our site as a welcoming and well-presented place “in a very attractive setting in the heart of the village.”  It was deemed to have good accessibility, with “great facilities and a wide range of activities” and drew praise for the interpretive benches and artwork on the site.

The Green Flag Award scheme manager, Peter Todd, said, “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making Bramcote Old Church Tower worthy of a Green Flag award.”

“To meet the requirements demanded by the scheme is testament to the hard work of the volunteers who do so much to ensure that the Tower has high standards of horticulture, safety and environmental management and is a place that supports people to live healthy lives.”

Jason Mordan, chair of the Bramcote Old Church Tower Trust, said the group was delighted to have achieved Green Flag status again. “Everyone works really hard to maintain and progress the site, keep it looking good, and explore ever more creative ways to enable the community to enjoy it,” he said.

“It’s an excellent report, and we’ll continue to take the best care of the building and the grounds as a precious piece of Bramcote’s heritage.”
