Looking for a unique way to spend a Sunday? We are delighted to introduce Tea at the Tower, a new venture inviting you to enjoy tea, coffee, and perhaps a delicious slice of cake in the picturesque setting of Bramcote’s oldest building.
Taking place on the second Sunday of each month from May to September, Tea at the Tower offers a chance to relax, take in the beauty of the surroundings, and explore the fascinating history of this remarkable site. Situated at the highest point in Bramcote, the tower is the last remaining part of the original church, which dates back to the 12th century and is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the original church, which was replaced in the 1860s by the present-day St. Michael and All Angels Church. Discover what became of the abandoned building and how the tower has stood the test of time, remaining a cherished landmark in the community.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a cuppa, Tea at the Tower promises a warm welcome and a delightful experience.
Tea at the Tower is a relaxed, drop-in event running between 11am and 3pm — you’re very welcome to come along at any time during those hours, and there’s no need to book in advance. Entry to the site is free, and there’s a small charge for tea or coffee and homemade cake.
